Text Mining Applications spans both semesters. The first semester is supposed to be partly lectures that explain the connections between the other units and partly seminars from visiting industrial speakers, and the second is largely a practical course, so it would be possible to take one part without the other.

Our semester dates for 2007-8 are 17/9--14/12, with exams during the period 14/1--25/1, and then 26/1--14/4, with exams in the period 14/4--6/6. Semester 3 is the period from 6/6--8/9 during which students carry out their dissertation.
