5.Partners and their roles

The consortium involves 4 partners, that are partly complementary in the their teaching program.

The universities of Patras and Granada mainly offer a specialisation in "Signal Language processing" , while the main points of the university of Hamburg and Manchester lie in language technology and cognition representation ( text processing). The University of Manchester is more to “Language technology” oriented. Under the word “role” is represented in the list below, the contained offers of every partner of the "European Master in Speech and Language"(http://www.cstr.ed.ac.uk/emasters).

5.Management of the Master's program (incl. visibility/marketing/ dissemination)

Already at the beginning of the design phase, a website for the Master's program will be created , which can be opened directly from the Uni main page. The web site shows: the university partners, the planning for the study course, the beginning specified, curriculum vitae and requirements, accesses with the schema “European Master in Speech and Language”, as well potential possibilities will be support.

The new Master's program will be announced by all technically appropriate mailing lists ( elsnet, mt, etc...) It will also be registered in familiar web like "Language technology world"(http://www.lt-world.org/) , administrated by the DFKI . Specialized magazines like ELRA (European Association for Language Ressources) will be provided with current information too.

The involvement in another European and international activities is primarily carried out through :

-Registration of all partners at the "Master in Speech and Language".Thus the Master program will be aditionally promoted. -Announcement of the study course by the particular Erasmus-Socrates / Partnership institutions - A leaflet with the basic contents of the Master program will be made and will be distribute in every important conference, especially LREC, Colling and ACL since 2006. -For other possibilities of diffusion , a cooperation with the ICGS is also aspired.

Students support:

The university of Hamburg has an Erasmus agreement with the university of Granada and Manchester. The quantity of interchange-students can be increased by a reciprocal agreement. In case of an authorization of the actual application, we will endeavour to increase that number and through that, facilitate contributions for the exchanges/them and in addition recruit students from Manchester and Granada.

Similar measures can also be taken with other already existent Erasmus-agreement , even when the Partner university is not in the consortium. The reunion of students from central and east European countries is also specially aspired. An erasmus-mundus-proposal for the year 2007/2008 ( the next invocation is planned for the beginning of the 2006) is set.?¿?¿. In the context of Erasmus-mundus, is the Asian student promotion an important point.
