Frequently Asked Questions

How to start the Programm :

• open 3 different windows and in all of them make ssh nats x where x is a nuber between 41 and 45
• in the first window type
  • cd enti_files/sample_chatter_world
  • entiserver start
• in the second window type:
  • cd enti_files/sample_chatter_world
  • entiprohlizec
• after this the server window will appear
• in this window select Session and then Connect
• in the connect window type the name of the machine you are on nats x (you don't have to modify the port)
• in the thrid window type
  • cd enti_files/chatter
  • ./chatter
• As a result the room will appear

Selecting Objects

• Objects are located at different levels (1-5) You access them by clicking the left button of the mouse and pressing the keys 1-5
• The objacts of the shelfs are at the same level with the shelfs (3 or 4). You select them by clicking the right button of the mouse
• to select between multiple objects click on the right button of the mouse

Viewing the database

• "Say" to Andrew 0save databasefilename=
• this file will be placed in the directory enti_files/chatter
• it contains only numerical handles
• to transform it in a readable form type dohandles.pl --reverse < databasefilename > databasefile.nice
• for correspondance bettween english and tchech names look in $ENTIROOT/data/conf/handles, at the end of the file
