+ Ents Releases

To install the project The Ents, use the commands:

tar xzf enti-rotd-2003-XX-XX.tgz
cd enti-rotd-2003-XX-XX
./configure
make
make install

You will be asked about the destination directory in the last step, 'make install'. In the currect release, everything is installed in the destination directory. Thinking it over and over again, I find this more convenient. Once you decide to remove the ents, there is only one directory to delete.

During the installation, the libentcore library is recompiled, so the installation step will also take some time.

The destination directory should be accessible for reading to all the users of the project. There are not just the binaries, but also the libentcore library and the sample world package and sample chatter. See the README file in the destination directory for more information.

Installation and Run Requirements

To run the Ents and build new linguistic modules for it, all the users need to be able to run:
