Guidelines for Writing the Outline

Your outline should contain

• the research question(s) you want to address with your essay
• a short motivation, why this/these question(s) are relevant to you or other people (only one or two sentences)
• the structuring of your essay into sections (and possibly into subsections) including a very short list of items to be covered in the respective section (only keypoints, no fully formulated text!)

The research questions can address any aspect of NLP that you deem to be of interest to other students. Examples can be found here

The length of the outline should not exceed one page. Please keep in mind that it is meant to only provide high-level information about the essay itself, which is limited to a length of 10-12 pages.
