Abstract:

This paper describes the system DBR-MAT which supports translators by allowing for domain specific queries from an abstract knowledge base instead of giving monolingual canned text explanations or term definitions. The interaction of the lexicon, the knowledge base, the graphical objects and the generator are explained in more detail. The second part of the paper describes the user tools for lexicon acquisition and browsing the knowledge base. Further information and all publications may be obtained from the DBR-MAT homepage .
