Project Aims

 

ISLE aims to improve foreign language learning through the use of a learner specific diagnostic pronunciation and communication aid system. ISLE aims to exploit and improve upon existing speech recognition technology so that reliable, appropriate and helpful feedback can be provided to the learner. An ISLE pronunciation diagnosis system will be developed and validated by integration into commercial language learning software, and tested by a set of selected users.
